Averebele mela


Averebele (split dried Indian beans) which is also called as Avarekalu/Hyacinth beans/SurtiPapdi/papadi lilva/Cow beans/etc
.. wow... that's a mouth full...
One of Karnataka's popular winter vegetable and it's raining..Used in cooking a variety of dishes for any time of day..From upma to sambar you can find it in

During the off season, dried variety is used... And the dried kind is no where close to the fresh ones in either flavour or taste, but it fills the stomach..

Speaking for my self, I have never liked the dried variety..
